Acne Paper Palais Royal
A new permanent gallery space opening June 26.
- 124 Gal de Valois, 75001 Paris, France
Acne Studios inaugurates Acne Paper Palais Royal, its first permanent gallery space, situated beneath the storied arcades of Paris’s Palais Royal. Marking a significant moment in the brand’s cultural evolution, the gallery extends Acne Studios’ ongoing dialogue with the worlds of art, design, photography, publishing, and craftsmanship.
Drawing inspiration from the spirit of Acne Paper – the brand’s magazine – Acne Paper Palais Royal will present a dynamic, cross-disciplinary program of exhibitions, artist talks, magazine launches, book signings, and cultural events. Conceived as a space for creative exchange, the gallery will offer a platform for both established voices and emerging talents, inviting each to engage in a unique conversation with the space and its context.
The program will encompass a broad spectrum of creative disciplines, affirming Acne Studios’ belief in culture as a living, porous domain. From modern masters to new generations of image- makers and thinkers, each project at Acne Paper Palais Royal will reflect the brand’s longstanding commitment to artistic exploration in all its forms.
Housed within the neoclassical colonnades of the Palais Royal and overlooking its historic gardens, the gallery situates Acne Studios at the intersection of heritage and innovation. Since its founding in Stockholm in 1996 as a multidisciplinary creative collective, Acne Studios has consistently championed photography, film, art, and design – not as tangents to fashion, but as integral elements of its creative DNA.
Acne Paper Palais Royal first exhibition will present a new collection of works from photographer Paul Kooiker and will open on June 26.
